Receive
Open the Receive tab and pick the coin at the top. Give the address to whoever pays you, by copy and paste or with the QR code.
Monero
The list shows your subaddresses. Payments to different subaddresses can’t be linked to each other on the blockchain, so give each payer its own: Create new address makes one.
- Right-click an address to Copy address, Edit label, Hide address or Pin address. Label it before you hand it out, with who it’s for, so you never reuse it by mistake.
- An address that received a payment is hidden from the list; tick Show used addresses to see it again. Right-click the column titles for Show full addresses, Show hidden addresses and more.
- Payment Request makes a QR code and a link with an amount and a description.
Received Monero can be spent after 10 confirmations, about 20 minutes. Your primary address is hidden on purpose; see Accounts and subaddresses.
Bitcoin and Litecoin
The Receive tab shows one address and its QR code. Once it gets a payment, Biscuit shows a new one, so people who paid you can’t look up your other payments on a block explorer. Old addresses keep working.
- New address gives you a fresh one whenever you want.
- All addresses… lists every address of the wallet.
- Keep this address after payments stops the rotation.
See Bitcoin and Litecoin addresses for the details.
Good habits
- Never type an address by hand. Copy it, scan it, or save it to a file.
- Check the first and last characters after pasting it anywhere. Some malware swaps addresses in the clipboard.
- For a large payment, ask for a small test payment first.
