Send

Open the Send tab and paste the address. Biscuit recognizes the coin by itself: a Monero, Bitcoin or Litecoin address switches the tab to that coin.

Monero

  1. Pay to: paste an address, a monero: payment link, an OpenAlias name (name@domain) or a QR code image. Scan reads a QR code with your webcam, see Webcam QR scanner.
  2. Description: a note for yourself. It stays in your wallet and is never sent.
  3. Amount: what the recipient gets, fee not included. The menu next to it lets you enter it in your currency instead, once prices have loaded. Max sends everything you can spend.
  4. Click Send. Biscuit builds the transaction and shows the amount, the fee and the destination. Check them, then confirm.

The payment shows in History right away, with a gear icon until it’s in a block. More: Fees and confirmations, Pay to many, Coin control.

Bitcoin and Litecoin

  1. Paste the address, or a silent payment address (sp1…), or double-click a contact.
  2. Enter the amount, at most 8 decimals, or Max. Its value in your currency shows next to it.
  3. Choose how fast it should confirm: Fast, Normal or Slow.
  4. Biscuit shows the destination, the network fee in satoshis per virtual byte, and the total. Confirm to send.

Biscuit only sends once the wallet is synchronized. A slow payment can be sped up afterwards: see Fees and speeding up.

Before you click Send

  • Check the address you pasted against the original, at least the first and last characters.
  • Payments can’t be reversed. Coins sent to a wrong address are gone.
  • With a hardware wallet, you also confirm the payment on the device.
