Webcam QR scanner

Biscuit can read QR codes with your webcam: an address or payment request on Send, view-only keys when restoring, and the animated codes of offline signing.

Scanning

On Send, click Scan. Choose the camera at the bottom if you have several, and hold the code in front of it. Once it’s read, the window closes and the fields fill in.

You can also paste an image of a QR code straight into the Pay to field.

If it won’t scan

Show the whole code, the right way up, and avoid glare from lamps or windows.
Lower the brightness of the screen showing the code, or move closer or farther.
A black picture: check for a webcam cover, or a privacy switch on your laptop.
No camera found: plug it in again, or restart. On macOS, allow Biscuit in System Settings › Privacy & Security › Camera.
