What Biscuit connects to

Biscuit only connects to what it needs, and tells you here exactly what that is. None of these connections carries your seed or your keys.

ToWhyWho sees your IP address

Electrum serversBitcoin and LitecoinThe server, unless you use Tor or your own server

Opening a link, a block explorer for example, opens your browser; Biscuit asks first when Settings › Display › Warn before opening external link is on.

What Biscuit never does

  • No accounts, no analytics, no crash reports, no identifier sent with requests.
  • No remote configuration: what Biscuit does is decided by the version you installed.
  • It never connects to Feather’s servers. Biscuit is built on Feather, but uses its own.
  • Your keys and seeds never leave your computer.

Turning connections off

  • Third-party data can be disabled: no prices, no Journal, no update checks.
  • Settings › Network › Offline disables every connection, for offline signing.
  • Your own node and Electrum server replace the public ones.
