Biscuit 1.2.3
Biscuit 1.2.3 is out. Download it for Windows, macOS or Linux. If you use 1.2.2, the update is announced at the bottom of the window: click Update to Biscuit 1.2.3 is available.
Updates you won’t miss
Until now, a new version only showed up as a line in the status bar, easy to overlook. From this version on, Biscuit also opens the update window by itself, once per new version, when nothing else is on screen. Later closes it, and the line in the status bar stays until you update. As before, the new version is checked against our release signature before it’s installed.
If you installed Biscuit from the .deb, .rpm or Arch package, the window now has a button that opens the download page: get the new package there and install it the same way. Your wallets stay as they are.
Narrow windows
With several cryptos in one wallet, the window could no longer be made narrow once it was out of full screen. Now the row of cryptos gets scroll arrows when it doesn’t fit, the prices on Home that don’t fit step aside until there is room again, and a long balance wraps onto a second line. On Windows, the + next to a wallet that holds only Monero sits next to it again.
Light and dark
After switching between the light and dark theme with the moon and sun button, File › New wallet and File › Open wallet opened a window that mixed the two, with text that was hard to read. It now follows the theme you chose.
On Linux
The AppImage now carries an icon and a description that Linux software centers can show, and it follows the AppImage standard to the letter.
Help
The documentation in Help covers Dogecoin, Solana and Arbitrum in full, swaps on Tails, and how swaps work behind a proxy.
As always, please verify your download before you install it.
