Coin control

Your Monero balance is made of outputs: one for each payment you received, and one for each change. Coin control lets you choose which ones a payment uses. Turn on View › Coins and pick Monero.

The Coins tab

Each line is an output, with its amount, the address that received it and its label. Outputs still locked show in green; hover one to see how many confirmations it still needs. Frozen ones show in blue. Tick Show spent outputs to see the ones already spent.

Select one or several (hold Ctrl, or ⌘ on a Mac) and right-click:

Why bother

Spending several outputs together shows they belong to the same wallet. If some coins came from a source you’d rather keep apart, from an exchange for example, freeze them, or spend them on their own.

Sweeping

A sweep sends the whole value of the selected outputs, minus the fee, with no change. Right-click › Sweep output:

Sweeping is handy to move coins between accounts or wallets without leaving change behind. For everyday payments, use Send; to send everything, Max.
